AwakenHub’s First Birthday

How can it be a year since we sent out notification of our intention to build the first Island of Ireland community for women founders?

A huge thanks to the 1000+ of you who signed up to AwakenHub (about 990 of which are women - how brilliant is that). You’ve inspired us as co-founders to want to do our best to create a vibrant, sacred, impactful and genuine community to which you belong, can benefit from and contribute to.

Please join us on 20 July, for our 1st Birthday with our Special Guest - the award winning Irish architect, artist, entrepreneur, broadcaster, design & diversity champion and all round #WonderWoman, Angela Brady OBE.

Angela runs London-based practice Brady Mallalieu which specialises in contemporary sustainable design and is a leading light in the world of architecture. Her work is often at the heart of our communities in the most visited places  – churches, theatres, hospitals, community spaces and sports centres.

Having lived and worked all over the globe for the last 25 years she has been based between London and Ireland.  Angela has many strings to her bow – a TV personality in Ireland and the UK, having co-written and co-presented "Designing Ireland" a 6 part landmark TV series broadcast on RTÉ 1, "Building the Dream" on ITV and "The Home Show" a 6 part series on Channel 4. She is an expert networker and collaborator and advocates how collaboration with other creative people, especially for women, amplifies creative effort, builds confidence and combats loneliness and isolation.

We’ll be putting the spotlight on Angela’s sparkling career and along the way pick up tips on how to collaborate and build rapport with clients through deep personal connections leading to long and happy client relationships and repeat business. We’ll also be chatting about the importance of side hustles and passion projects.

As a parting treat, Angela will give us some ‘insider’ insight into the new Disney movie, Disenchanted, starring Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, as Angela’s mother’s home in Greystones has been transformed as the film set by Disney.

Final few tickets available HERE.

Party hats, flipflops (it is summer after all), bubbly, cake and baloons optional.

See you all there - Clare, Mary C, Sinéad, Mary McK
