Our Story

Four women founders from across Ireland on a mission to fundamentally change the founder eco-system and create equity for all.

WHO?

AwakenHub, a registered Social Enterprise, is the collective brain child of 4 women with extensive backgrounds as super-connectors, entrepreneurs, innovators and strategists from the four provinces of Ireland.

It all happened in lockdown 2020 when women we knew were desperately looking for alternative solutions to keep their businesses alive or were inspired to set up their own company.

Our community got to work building a now 3000+ strong subscriber base. We launched a private online community, AwakenClub in 2021 offering a range of bespoke and niche supports, events, programmes and investor readiness for c400 women founders.

WHY?

The stats around investment in women founded startups are startling. 2% of funding goes to sole women founders/teams, 13% if you’ve a male cofounder and 85% to male founders. Despite these stats women founders deliver a higher return per investment on average. It's a big issue and one we are unapologetically doing something about in a fundamental way.

There’s a similar issue with lack of women sitting on the investor side of the table. No matter how amazing a community of women founders we build, the problem can’t be solved unless investment opportunities are democratised for women as investors as well as founders.
