#FollowSRScullion Q&A: “In 24hrs I bought a domain developed a prototype & validated the idea”
#FollowSRScullion Q&A
AwakenHub is a community of and for women founders, entrepreneurs and start-ups across the island of Ireland. Each week we feature a new #Follow on our social media channels to encourage others to follow and support eachother.
This week its #FollowSRScullion founder of Community Calling a community support matching service & @integrabookings a tourism start-up for event tickets, travel & accommodation.
Q1: How would you describe yourself in 6 words or less?
Sarah: Enthusiastic, Optimistic, Creative, Adaptable, Driven, Resilient
Q2: What prompted you to start your business?
Sarah: My event tourism startup came to a standstill in March & I identified a way to use tech to help people during Covid. In 24hrs I bought a domain developed a prototype & validated the idea and Community Calling was born.
Q3: Can you tell us a bit more about you?
Sarah: My background is in business, marketing and entrepreneurship. I've a passion for start-ups and have tried many things, from event management and record labels to event tourism and tech development. I decided to put everything I've learned into developing a digital, community support matching service - Community Calling
Q4: How has being part of the AwakenHub community helped your business?
Sarah: I felt very welcome and supported from the get-go. Being an entrepreneur can be a lonely experience and self-doubt can creep in. I really struggle with anxiety around public speaking but I'll be tackling that head on at the next event on 10 November thanks to @MMaryMcKenna and the @awakenhub team for inviting me to speak.
