At AwakenHub, we're all about nurturing connections and championing female founders on their entrepreneurial paths. Today, we're thrilled to shine a light on an amazing venture sparked within our community. Meet Edel Owens from The WholeFoodHero and Karen Mooney of The Science Room, both SheGenerate programme participants, who've joined forces with Sarah Gilbert and Little Sunflower to bring to life the Happy World Adventures Summer Camp—a one-of-a-kind summer experience aimed at nurturing happy, well-rounded adventurers with a passion for our planet.

Meet the Founders:
Sarah Gilbert and Little Sunflower: Renowned for their innovative approaches to children's wellbeing and education, Sarah and Little Sunflower, winner of Health & Wellbeing at Invent23, bring a wealth of experience and creativity to the camp.
Edel Owens, The WholeFoodHero: With a passion for healthy eating and sustainable living, Edel is dedicated to teaching children the joys of nutritious food and eco-friendly habits.
Karen Mooney, The Science Room: A specialist in making science fun and accessible, Karen inspires children to explore and protect the wonders of the natural world.

Their journey began right here within our vibrant AwakenHub community, where Edel and Karen first crossed paths through the SheGenerate programme. Their shared vision and complementary skills naturally led them to collaborate with Sarah, igniting the creation of the Happy World Summer Camp. These connections are the heart and soul of AwakenHub—like proud mums witnessing their children's successes!
The long term vision at Happy World Adventures is to help children be physically, emotionally and environmentally resilient.
