Describe your business and what prompted you to start it?
Scopey helps you generate more revenue during projects with an easy way for clients to approve quoted changes.
I was prompted to start Scopey, after a decade of running a digital agency in Melbourne. We were losing 10-15% of project revenue to 'Scope creep' work outside of the original quote. The current solutions were overly complicated, we needed an easy way to for our clients to see the value of their change requests and approve them. So the idea of Scopey was born.
Tell us a little bit more about you?
I was born in Wellington New Zealand, worked as a designer then moved to Melbourne and started a design agency. I've always had an entrepreneurial spirt, I got my first clients by taking the photos of company lists in building foyers and contacting them, door knocking and networking. The agency grew to working on million dollar software projects.
I moved to Ireland just over a year ago with my Irish husband, and two young kids. I find Irish people very welcoming and similar to kiwis. It's been a change moving from Melbourne suburbs to a farm in Longford, but the community are super welcoming and I've even joined the mothers GAA team.
Fill us in on your female founder journey.
Within my first couple of weeks here I started New Frontiers phase 2 and went on to phase 3, which helped set the business plan. I just received the PSSF and will soon be looking for angel or pre seed investment. I've found as a female founder I need to defend myself a lot in meetings, and work a bit harder to prove myself.
Why are you a member of Awakenclub?
I really enjoy the online events and learning from other female founders, it's great networking. I’m looking forward to pitching to the angel network.

As a founder - what are your non-negotiables?
You know the problem your solving better than anyone, don't let someone you've just met change that.
Where do you see yourself in 12 months and 5 years time?
12 months - growing Scopey's customer base and raising. 5 years - Scopey is global being used by millions.
