AwakenHub & AwakenAngels Trade Mission Update
Things just keep getting better when it comes to our second USA Trade Mission.
AwakenHub Female Founders Pitch to Boston elite business community hosted by British Consulate-General Boston Dr Peter Abbott OBE with guests Joe Kennedy III and Sighle FitzGerald Consulate General of Ireland Boston.
What a whirlwind 72 hours we have had with AwakenHub and AwakenAngels on the second leg of our Trade Mission.
After informal networking with #Boston based investors and connectors we spent Monday morning with Sighle Fitzgerald, Irish Consul General to Boston with a private round table sharing all our founders stories and aspirations and Monday evening hosted exclusively by the British Consul General to New England, Dr Peter Abbott OBE, with Special Guest Joseph Kennedy III, Special Envoy to Northern Ireland for Economic Affairs.
6 women founders pitched ( Naomi McGregor, Yvonne Comer, MBA, Mary McIntaggart, Karen Yates, Justina Anulika Ugwah (MRSC) and Emma Meehan to hugely positive response from attendees keen to connect and potentially invest. 8 other founders had the opportunity to chat to guests including investors, venture capitalists, #tech #biotech companies, third level institutions and those with a keen commercial interest in founders from the Island of Ireland.

Special guest Joseph Kennedy III, Special Envoy to Northern Ireland for Economic Affairs has a special relationship with AwakenHub as he spoke about the importance of our mission to change the landscape for women - foudners and investors , and contribute to peace, economic prosperity and equality on the Island of Ireland.
Tuesday afternoon we held our second AwakenAngels - Investment 101 Masterclass hosted in MIT Technology Review with Ted Hu.
We want to thank everyone involved in front and behind the scenes for all the incredible hard work, good will, kindness and collaborative spirit shown to AwakenHub and AwakenAngels and so look forward to our next visit and what will happen in between.
These events are part of AwakenHub & AwakenAngels USA St. Brigid’s week Trade Mission 2024 with a 25 strong delegation of exciting women founded startups, angel investors and partners from across the island of Ireland and to encourage angel investors to join the first and only women-led angel syndicate on the island of Ireland investing in women founded companies.
